The Prairie du Chien boys soccer team opened their home season Tuesday evening hosting the Richland Center Hornets.  

The Blackhawks played a well balanced game of procession and control. Prairie started out quickly. Only 3:54 into the game, Chas Sagedahl delivered a through ball to Jon Dyer who put it in for the first goal.

The Prairie du Chien girls golf team hosted the Prairie du Chien Invitational Friday morning at Prairie du Chien Country Club. 

Darlington won the 18-hole tournament with a team total of 404 strokes. Southwestern-Cuba City was second with 407.

Blackhawks beat Blugolds 33-27 in overtime

The Prairie du Chien Blackhawks opened up the 2016 Football Season on Friday night at home against the La Crosse Aquinas Blugolds. The game, dominated by offense, went back and forth all game long and the Blackhawks (1-0) won the game 33-27 in overtime.

A former Prairie du Chien athlete has had a great summer of wrestling. Tyler Dow, 16, won the gold medal at the Pan American Games in Lima, Peru on July 3 in the 152-pound weight class.

Top seeded Prairie du Chien defeated visiting and fourth seeded Iowa Grant 12-3 in a Division 3 Regional Semifinal baseball game Wednesday afternoon. The game had been postponed from Tuesday due to rain. 

The Blackhawks erupted for 7 big runs in the bottom of the first inning.

Boscobel defeated host Prairie du Chien 7-5 in a Division 3 Regional softball game Tuesday afternoon. 

Prairie scored first with a run in the second inning to go up 1-0. 

Boscobel scored 3 runs in the top of the fourth and Prairie scored 1 in the bottom half as Boscobel led 3-2.

Seneca improved its record to 15-8 overall and 10-4 in conference action. 

Kickapoo fell to 3-14 on the season and 2-11 in the Ridge and Valley.
