Lloyd Darrell Duha, 78, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, at his home in Seneca. 

He was born Feb. 12, 1937 in Seneca township, Crawford County, the son of George and Elizabeth (Heisz) Duha.

Lloyd was united in marriage with Donna Bailey on March 3, 1962 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Prairie du Chien.

Patrick Leo Shannon, 68, of Fairbank, Iowa passed away at his home on Sunday, Feb. 15, after battling cancer.

Patrick was born Aug. 23, 1946 in Fairbank, Iowa to Daniel and Veronica (Weber) Shannon. Patrick graduated from the Immaculate Conception Catholic High School, Fairbank in 1964. He married Susan Kleitsch on Sept. 19, 1971 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, Iowa.

Delores M. Cooley

 

Delores M. Cooley, 80, of Bloomington, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse. 

She was born March 13, 1934 in Prairie du Chien, the daughter of Irving and Edna (Walters) DuCharme. She married Robert Cooley on July 23, 1955 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. Together they farmed in the Mt. Hope, area for many years. Bob preceded her in death on Aug. 31, 2013 after 58 years of marriage. Delores loved going to casinos, playing cards, squirrel hunting and fishing. She always made everyone feel welcome in her home.

Alan G. Jacobson, 70 of Rockland died Thursday, Feb. 5. 

He was born on Dec. 30, 1944 in Viroqua to Victor and Jean (Ewers) Jacobson. He served in the U.S. Navy for 5 years. He married Marcella Whiteaker and they later divorced. He enjoyed country music, especially the old time music. Alan also liked car shows, playing pool, visiting and drinking Coca-Cola.

Willard R. “Bill” Marshall

 

Willard R. “Bill” Marshall, 86, of Bagley, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. 

He was born Aug. 11, 1928 the son of Lee and Esther (McQuistion) Marshall. Bill was drafted in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Dubuque Packing Company and also operated the Bagley Hotel from 1966 to 1998. He was an antique dealer and had a shop in Bagley. Bill enjoyed a good game of euchre, polka dancing and Irish music. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons and the Liscum Brothers American Legion Post No. 482 of Bagley.

Donna Mae Adams

 

Donna Mae Adams, 82, of Garnavillo, Iowa, died Friday, Feb. 6, at Guttenberg Care Center. 

She was born on May 24, 1932, the daughter of Elmer and Lucille Knapp. Donna was raised in the McGregor area and received her education from the McGregor Schools. On Jan. 23, 1950, Donna was united in marriage with Stanley John Adams in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Donna was a wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She spoke fondly of working in her father’s café “The Mallard” in McGregor during her teenage years. She also worked with her husband at “Stan’s Boat Landing” in Clayton for many years.

David J. Redman

 

David J. Redman, 65, of Prairie du Chien passed away in his sleep Thursday, Feb. 5, at home. 

He was born May 1, 1949 the son of Mearl and Esther (Mindham) Redman. He married Mary Ann Morgan on Aug. 3, 1968 at St John’s Church in Patch Grove. Dave was well known in the area as a beer salesman and deliveryman. He worked for Prairie Beer Distributing in Prairie du Chien for over 30 years. He was an avid hunter and belonged to the Prairie Rod and Gun Club. Dave was very proud of his recent baptism into the catholic faith and his membership at St. John’s Parish.
