Kinney Texas.

Lela Doris Wogahn was born on Dec. 10, 1924, in Aurelia, Iowa, the daughter of Henry (Ed) and Doretta (Hasenwinkel) Wogahn. Lela was baptized and confirmed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia. She attended school in Aurelia and after graduation, worked in Cherokee, Iowa.

Dale L. Braudt

 

Dale L. Braudt, 78, of Bloomington, passed away on Monday, April 20, at his home. 

He was born on Jan. 10, 1937, at Brodtville in Wyalusing Township, the son of Louis and Lela (Ariss) Braudt. Dale graduated from Patch Grove High School. On Oct. 6, 1961, he married Betty A. Campbell at the Lutheran Parsonage in Prairie du Chien. He was employed at Hermsen’s Ace Hardware in Bloomington for many years as an electrician. Dale was a member of the Bloomington Fire Department for over forty years and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Prairie du Chien. In his younger days, Dale enjoyed hunting and fishing.

William W. “Bill’’ Williams

 

William W. “Bill’’ Williams, 85, of Patch Grove, formerly of Beetown. Passed into eternal life on Friday, April 10, at the Crossing Rivers Health Center. 

He was born Nov. 29, 1929. He was the son of Delbert and Dora (Woodruff) Williams. He married his first wife Nancy Huggett in 1948. Bill trained with the National Guard at Fort Snelling in Minnesota during the Korean War. Bill worked as a mechanic at the Ford dealership in West Salem for a number of years. They moved to Beloit, and Bill worked at Fairbanks Morse.

Wilma Berniese Lawrence

 

Wilma Berniese Lawrence, 98, Prairie du Chien, died Thursday, April 9, at Crossing Rivers Healthcare. 

She was born Feb. 6, 1917 to John and Grace (Bowan) Lange in Marion, Iowa. Wilma and her husband, Melvin Lawrence moved from Center Point, Iowa to Eastman, in 1961 where they farmed in that area for several years. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Organization since 1941.

 Kenneth R. Halverson, 80, of Woodman, passed away on Thursday, April 9, at the Richland Hospital in Richland Center.

He was born March 3, 1935, in Waukon Iowa, the son of Martin and Mamie (Warnholtz) Halverson. He married Shirley Anne Demer on March 6, 1959 in Lake Trobe, Pa. She preceded him in death on Dec. 12, 2000. He served in the US Air Force.

L. Marian Bernabei

 

L. Marian Bernabei, 93, of Prairie du Chien, passed away Wednesday, April 8, at the Prairie Maison Care Center. 

She was born July 25, 1921 in La Crosse, the daughter of Edward and Mae (Weighner) Bock. She married Louis Bernabei on Jan. 6, 1949 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Prairie du Chien. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1990. Marian was an active member of St. Gabriel’s Parish.
