Judith A. Underhill

 

Judith A. Underhill, 71, of Bagley, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. 

She was born Dec. 6, 1943, in South Dakota, the daughter of Vernon (Nitzie) Cleveland and Grace (La Vern) Dusso. Judy graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. She was united in marriage to Larry J. Underhill on Aug. 28, 1976, at the United Methodist Church in Rockton, Ill. After spending many years vacationing in Bagley, they decided to move there. Larry and Judy owned and operated the Sportsman’s Tap Tavern in Bagley. Judy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and bird watching. She dearly loved spending time with her family.

Darlene Frances Proof, 74, of Macomb and formerly of Praire du Chien, passed away Oct. 3. 

Darlene loved her family dearly and served for three years in the United States Army as Medical Corpsmen.

Robert H. Steele (Bob)

 

Robert H. Steele (Bob), 86, of Wauzeka, passed away peacefully on Sept. 29 at the home of his daughter in Naples, Fla., with his two daughters at his side. 

He was born May 10, 1929 in Boscobel, the oldest of eleven children born to Ernest and Kathryn (Welch) Steele. He married Nellie Riley in 1955. and is survived by their three children Shannon, Sheryl and Rodney Steele. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; one son Robert Steele; three sisters, Delores Chamberlin, Joan Poole and Kathryn (Little Sister), four brothers, John (Jack), Larry, Thomas (Kelly), Gerald (Chick) Steele, and his longtime companion Lorena Bronson.

Lawrence D. “Larry” Colsch

 

Lawrence D. “Larry” Colsch, 52, of Wauzeka passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Oct. 5, at the Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien. 

He was born July 21, 1963 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Lawrence and Ruth (Paris) Colsch. He married Leanne Groom on June 9, 1984 at the United Methodist Church in Wauzeka. Larry worked as a truck driver and enjoyed farming. He and Leanne own and operate the Main Street Bar and Grill in Eastman.

Lorraine Lorretta Shulka

 

Lorraine Lorretta Shulka, 81, of Prairie du Chien passed away Sunday, Oct. 4, surrounded by her family at Agrace Hospice in Madsion. 

She was born Nov. 7, 1933 in Boscobel, the daughter of Eldon and Nellie (Ward) Wayne. She married Clarence Shulka on July 31, 1965 in Caledonia, Minn. He preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 1994. Loretta worked in nursing for the old Beaumont Hospital and later for Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien spanning 40 years. She belonged to the Apostolic Lighthouse Church in Prairie du Chien where she taught Sunday school.

Jerry (JR) Hoilien

 

Jerry (JR) Hoilien passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 30, in Key Largo, Fla.

Jerry was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on April 27, 1960 to Joyce and Jerry Hoilien. Jerry was an avid hunter and gatherer throughout the rivers and hills of Iowa and Wisconsin. He had a huge heart, great laugh and an incredible smile!

Michael T. “Mike” Lynn

 

Michael T. “Mike” Lynn, 36, of Sheboygan went to a better life on Sept. 25. 

He was born Nov. 3, 1978 in Milwaukee, the son of Thomas and Paula Lynn of Grand Junction Colo. Mike married Emily Ingle in 2006. 

Our wonderful son, loved his hunting and fishing life in Prairie du Chien and was given endless love and support from family and friends. Please remember him in your thoughts and prayers.
