Joe was born April 28, 1938 to Alfred and Edna (Emerson) Rand in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He graduated from high school in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin in 1956. During high school, Joe participated in football, basketball and baseball.

Bonnie J. Prochaska, age 85, of Janesville, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024 at her home. She was born in Prairie du Chien on Sept. 29, 1938, the daughter of the late Fritz and Tena (Bunders) Messerli. Bonnie married her favorite dancing partner and soulmate, Hubert “Hugh” Prochaska on Oct. 12, 1956. She and Hugh shared the love of dancing and country music. Hugh preceded her in death on April 8, 2021. Bonnie was employed at Parker Pen for over 36 years where she met many wonderful friends. In retirement, they continued to meet for lunch and took several bus trips together.

Elijah (Eli) Robert Manuel, 20 of McGregor, IA passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023. He was born Aug. 22, 2003 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Eli graduated from Doherty High School in 2021. He was employed as a welder at Astec, in Prairie du Chien, WI. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing video games, watching Anime, riding his four-wheeler and spending time with his best friends.
