Timothy J. Kuempel, 64, of Guttenberg, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Visitation was Friday, June 24, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Saturday, June 25, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, conducted by  Rev. Richard G. Gaul. A reception immediately followed the funeral service in the St. Mary’s Church basement.

Robert De Koekkoek, 78, of Frenchtown, died Sunday, June 19, 2016.

Memorial services were Thursday, June 23, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Penny Hansel officiating.

There will be an inurnment this coming fall at Hope Cemetery in Tyler, Minn.

Robert was born on Nov. 12, 1937, in Chanarambie Township, Murry, Minn., the son of Teunis and Pearl De Koekkoek.

Melvin Leo Matt, 85, of Des Moines, formerly of Garnavillo, died Friday, June 17, 2016, at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines.

Visitation was Wednesday, June 22, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Garnavillo, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.

Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Garnavillo.

Dale LeRoy Hoffman, 80, of Dubuque, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016, while enjoying a family dinner in celebration of Father's Day at his daughter’s home.

In honor of his wishes private family burial and celebration of life will be at Dubuque Memorial Gardens where both Dale and his wife, Darlene, who passed in 2014, will be interred together on their 58th wedding anniversary.

Military honors for Dale will be accorded by American Legion Post #6.

Edward J. Rhomberg, 83, peacefully went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2016, as the result of an aggressive malignant brain tumor.

Visitation was Thursday, June 16, at Hillier Funeral Home, Bryan, Texas, followed by a Rosary. 

The Mass of Celebration of Life was held Friday, June 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan, officiated by Reverands Monsignor John McCaffery and Monsignor John Malinowski co-officiated. A reception followed and a private internment took place at the mausoleum crypt in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Bryan.

Visitation was Wednesday, June 8, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo, and one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services were Thursday, June 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.

Interment was at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Garnavillo.

Visitation was Thursday, June 9, at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville.  

Funeral services were Thursday, June 9, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, conducted by Rev. Dennis Quint.

Burial was in the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Petersburg.

Donald Lawrence Grant, 81, passed away on May 27, 2016, at his home in Sun City, Ariz.

A Catholic Mass will be held on Thursday, June 16, at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Sun City, Ariz.

He will receive full military honors and burial will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix, Ariz.

Charles "Fred" Eggert, 83, of Guttenberg, passed away on June 1, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.

Fred was born on Oct. 22, 1932, in Davenport, to Charles F. and Jeanette Eggert.
