Emma Lou Gull, 91, longtime Elkport-Garber resident, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, after a brief illness, at the Edgewood Convalescent Home in Edgewood.

Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 16, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 17, at Mount Harmony Cemetery, in rural Garber, conducted by Pastor Mike Jackson.

Shirley Jane Davies, 79, of Garber died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester surrounded by family.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16, 2022, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg. 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guttenberg with burial in the church cemetery, conducted by Rev. Marvin Bries.

Robert H. Niehaus, 71, of Manchester formerly of Winthrop, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at Regional Medical Center, Manchester.

A memorial gathering will be held from 2-7 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, at Promiseland Winery, 39053 Great River Road, Guttenberg.

Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Manchester assisted the family.

AnnaMae Francis Powers passed away in her home on Dec. 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, just short of her 98th birthday.

Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elkader, conducted by Rev. John Haugen. Visitation was before services at the church.

Interment was Saturday, Dec. 10, at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery (Kann), rural Guttenberg, conducted by Deacon Jim Pfaffly.

Dr. David F. Tomkins, 75, of Asbury, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.

A celebration of life will be held at Calvary Church in Muscatine on Dec. 17, 2022 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Burial will be held at Brown’s Cemetery in Colesburg in the spring.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 3, at St. John’s Church in Guttenberg, conducted by Rev. Michael Ashman. Visitation was before services at the church.

Interment was at Ceres Cemetery.

Visitation was Monday, Nov. 21, at the Reiff Funeral Home in Peosta and before services at the funeral home.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Edward Mast.

Tammy was born on Aug. 1, 1959, in Dubuque, the daughter of Norbert and Rita Glawe.

Denise Marie (Miller) Boardman, 67, of Guttenberg passed away on Oct. 25, 2022, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. 

There will be a private graveside service at Goshen Cemetery and a celebration of life at the Guttenberg Eagles Club on Sunday, Nov. 13, from 12:30 – 3:30 p.m.

Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Guttenberg.
