Engineer Marc Ruden, of IIW, Inc., updated the Monona Council on the status of the city’s phase II sanitary sewer drainage collection system improvement project at its Sept. 21 regular meeting.
“We’re at the point where we’re putting the projects out to bid finally,” Ruden said, noting that bid letting for the work will be held Oct. 15, while the council is expected to award the contract at its Oct. 19 meeting.
There will be two contracts for the project, one for the collection system rehabilitation and another for lift station and waste water treatment facility improvements.
The engineer’s estimated cost for both parts is nearly $1.8 million, Ruden said.
