Linda S. Ohrt

Linda Sue Ohrt died on Dec. 26, 2025, at her apartment at Evergreen Ridge in Jefferson. Linda was born May 28, 1951, in Waterloo. She was the only daughter of Raymond Ohrt and Susan Ohrt. She had five male siblings, which contributed to their closeness (survival skills). Linda graduated from West Central Community School in Maynard and later attended La James College of Hair Design in 1986. She was employed as a hair designer in Cedar Falls.

Rodney Corbett Riemenschneider, 84, of Marion, passed away peacefully at home on Dec. 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ruth Grau

Ruth Button Grau, 93, of Elkader, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at MercyOne Hospital in Elkader. Ruth was born on Sept. 3, 1932, in Waterloo, to Henry “Harry” and Elena (Anderson) Button. She graduated as the valedictorian from East Waterloo High School, Waterloo, with the class of 1950. She went on to graduate from Iowa Teachers College in 1952 and Upper Iowa University in 1970 with a teaching certificate and a bachelor of arts in elementary education, respectively.
