September 26, 1952–April 4, 2026

Sherry L. Bunts, 73, of Woodman, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2026, at SSM Health in Madison.  

She was born in Prairie Du Chien on Sept. 26, 1952, the daughter of Marion R. Steiner.  Sherry graduated from Prairie Du Chien High School in 1970 and was involved with band and choir.  She loved music and had friendly relationships with DJ’s that lasted years.  She worked at the Highway Grill & Captains Cove as a cook.  On Dec. 18, 1993, she married William “Billy” Bunts.  Together, they farmed and received the Best Quality Milk Award on Dec. 22, 1994.  

Survivors include her dog, Brandy; six step children, Robin Wall of Eastman, Patty Nading (Rollie) of Bagley, Dennis (Linda) Bunts of Woodman, Keven (Patty) Bunts, Kerry (Joan) Bunts, both of Prairie Du Chien, and Kenny Bunts of Las Vegas, Nev.; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Steiner; husband, Billy Bunts; uncles, Donald and Robert Steiner; and a step-grandson, Dennis Bunts Jr; eight sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life on a later date.  Burial will be held at Bethlehem Cemetery in Woodman Township.  The Clary Memorial Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
