Central, MFL MarMac track and field teams compete at UIC indoor meet

The Central and MFL MarMac track and field teams began their 2026 season on March 24, at the Upper Iowa Conference Indoor Meet at Luther College. 

 

Waukon took the top spot in the girls team standing, compiling 117.5 points. The Indians were followed by Kee and Crestwood with 93, New Hampton with 92, Clayton Ridge with 65, Turkey Valley with 64, North Fayette Valley with 57, South Winneshiek with 54, MFL MarMac with 32.5, Central with 27, West Central with 24 and Postville 13.

 

In the boys rankings, New Hampton put up a score of 125 for first place. Waukon was the runner-up at 94, then Crestwood with 89 and South Winneshiek 82. Turkey Valley came in at 70, Central 62, Clayton Ridge 61, North Fayette Valley 48, MFL MarMac 36, Kee 32, Postville 22 and West Central 9.
