September 9, 1960–February 27, 2026
Phyllis M. Waller, age 65 of Prairie du Chien passed away with family by her side on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at Prairie Maison in Prairie du Chien.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1960, to Robert A. and Evelyn (Swatek) Waller. She graduated from Prairie du Chien High School with the class of 1979. Phyllis married Frank Pintz Jr. on Jan. 9, 1982, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien. They later divorced.
Phyllis worked as a waitress at Coaches and Huckleberry’s Restaurants for many years, both in Prairie du Chien. She loved being outdoors and watching the Green Bay Packers. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren. Faced with immense health challenges, Phyllis showed incredible strength until the very end.
She is survived by her children Corissa (Ryan) McCoy, Benjamin Pintz, and Ashley (William Taylor) Lindner; mother Evelyn Waller; siblings Richard (Emily) Waller, Donna (Mark) Gilberts, Pam Waller, Kathy (Randy) Schneider, and Bruce (Vicki) Waller; grandchildren Allison, Mason, Addilyn, Kendall, Abigail, and Aiden; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert A. Waller and brother Brian Waller.
Memorial Mass of Resurrection will be Saturday, March 7, 2026, at noon at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Fr. Brandon Guenther officiating, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, both in Prairie du Chien.
Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of departure for church.
