Chad E. “Wick” Rogers

April 16, 1974–January 6, 2026

Chad E. “Wick” Rogers, age 51 of Blue River, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Boscobel on April 16, 1974, son of Nancy (Chuck) Eckert and Glen Rogers.

Chad was a hard-working man through and through. He devoted 20 wonderful years to Prairie Sand and Gravel.  When Chad wasn't crushing rock, you would find him spending time with his grandchildren, or devoting countless hours making sure his yard was perfect.

Chad was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. Especially with his daughter, Kylee and brother Josh. He built a hunting shack for Kylee, which she will forever cherish.

He cherished the younger years he spent farming with his daughter, Chasity, teaching her the value of hard work.

Chad took pride and joy in the home he and Stephanie built with his father, Glen by his side.  He worked tirelessly making sure it was the perfect home for his wife and family. He made sure everything was to his high standards. No detail left undone.

Chad will be remembered for his hard work, love and dedication.

He is survived by his wife Stephanie Rogers; Daughters Chasity (Chance) Zimpel of Boscobel and Kylee Rogers of Prairie du Chien; Stepchildren: Erika (Randy Wiedenfeld) Thayer of Blue River and Brady Fox of Blue River. Grandchildren; Gatlin, Gentry, and Killian Zimpel, and Aria and Emersen Wiedenfeld. Brother Josh (Lindsay) Eckert. His Uncle Ray Rogers and Dear friend Tom "HorHay" Bray. Along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father Glen Rogers, brother Brian Rogers, maternal grandparents Bernadine and Alvin Lull, and paternal grandparents Doris and Earl Rogers.

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 at the Woodman Event Center, 401 Main Street, Woodman with Rev. Lance Wetter officiating.

A visitation will be held in Woodman from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established. Online condolences can be offered at www.kendallfuneralservice.com.

Chad’s family would like to send a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice for all of their wonderful care.
