The Prairie du Chien Cross Country team placed sixth out of 12 teams in both the boys and girls races at the 2025 MFL MarMac Invitational last Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Tri-City Golf Course in Luana.
The boys team was led by one-two finishes from Sam Kramer and Landon Smith and a seventh place finish by Lane Henderson. Kramer finished the 5k race in a time of 17:46, while Smith crossed the finish line in a time of 18:04. Henderson took seventh place with a time of 19:52, finishing ahead of the eighth place finisher from Central Elkader by two seconds. Also running for the Hawks in the boys race was Joey Kramer in 34th place (22:45), Kaden Kvamme in 39th place (23:33), Caleb Mezera in 45th place (23:57), Matthew Kramer in 49th place (24:47), Carter Neis in 53rd place (25:34) and Finnian Stafford-Johnson in 54th place (25:40).
In the girls race, it was Karly Kramer earning a medal with a ninth place finish in a time of 23:40. She was followed by Kennady Fradette in 12th place (23:56), Kate Gebhard in 23rd place (26:04), Mairany Morales-Fuerte in 37th place (28:27), Autumn Ziegler in 45th place (30:52), Kayli Schnitzler in 50th place (31:10), Lyla Redman in 51st place (31:27) and Mya Mahr in 58th place (35:29).
PdC Cross Country traveled to Boscobel yesterday, Sept. 9 for the Boscobel Invitational before traveling to Spring Green this Saturday, Sept. 13 for the River Valley Invitational.
