Prairie du Chien runner Sam Kramer kicked off his senior season by earning a medal with a seventh place individual finish at the 2025 Gale Johnson Kick-Off Invitational at Maple Grove Venues in West Salem. Kramer finished the Boys’ 5000 Meter run in a time of 17:35 to lead the Hawks. The boys team finished in ninth place out of 12 teams with a team score of 216 points. Following Kramer was sophomore Landon Smith in 15th place (18:13), junior Lane Henderson in 60th place (21:09), sophomore Kaden Kvamme in 63rd place (21:33), senior Joey Kramer in 71st place (23:30), sophomore Carter Neis in 72nd place (23:33) and senior Caleb Mezera in 73rd place (24:02).

On the girls side, it was junior Karly Kramer leading the way with a 33rd place finish in a time of 24:23. She was followed by sophomore Kennady Fradette in 38th place (24:46), senior Kate Gebhard in 48th place (26:10), sophomore Mairany Morales in 64th place (29:49), sophomore Kayli Schnitzler in 66th place (30:55), junior Autumn Ziegler in 67th place (31:36) and ninth grader Lyla Redman in 70th place (34:44). The PdC girls team finished in 11th place out of 12 teams with 249 points.

PdC Cross Country is back in action this Thursday when they cross the river for the 2025 MFL MarMac Invitational at the Tri City Golf Course in Luana. The start team is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
