Prairie du Chien Girls Golf team competes in three SWC meets

The Hawks hosted the SWC/SWAL Conference for the first Conference Meet of the year at Prairie du Chien Country Club on Tuesday, August 19. The Hawks ended up taking 3rd place out of 5 teams with a 222 team score, edged out by 3 strokes to Southwestern/Cuba City/Benton with a 219 and Wisconsin Dells with a 190. The Hawks were led on Varsity by Hannah Fritsche and Elisia Wynos, each with 52, Camryn Knapp with a 57 and Fiona Chen with a 61. On the JV side of things for the Hawks, Shelia Nagel shot a 69. Earning medalist honors for the meet was Lancaster’s Lynell Miller with a 42.

Prairie du Chien traveled to Wisconsin Dells on Wednesday, August 27 for the second conference meet of the season and came back with a fourth place finish with a team score of 228. Knapp led the Hawks with an individual score of 51. She was followed by Fritsche (54), Stephanie Welter (61), Wynos (62) and Chen (62).

The Hawks returned to Darlington two days later for the third conference meet and placed third with a team score of 209. It was Wynos leading the Hawks on this day as she finished with a score of 49. Fritsche was second for the Hawks with a 52 with Chen (54), Knapp (54) and Welter (68) rounding out the Hawks’ scores.
Prairie du Chien travels to Lancaster this Thursday for the fourth SWC meet of the season. Golfing begins at 4:00 p.m.
