Decorah defeats Prairie du Chien Volleyball in season opener

The Prairie du Chien Girls Volleyball team opened the 2025 regular season on Tuesday, August 26 when they hosted the Decorah Vikings in a non-conference matchup. The Hawks start a new season with new head coach Paige Gillitzer, a former assistant coach and PdC alum who takes over the position from former head coach Vickie Stevenson.

Decorah defeated the Hawks in three sets (25-13, 25-14, 25-14) as they improved to 1-0 on the season while PdC fell to 0-1. Prairie du Chien begins conference play this Thursday night when they travel to Richland Center with game time scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
