River Park Cruisers Car Show is next Saturday

Lovers of classic cars and music can rejoice because the 27th annual River Park Cruisers Car Show returns to Guttenberg on Saturday, Sept. 13.
The roads will be bustling with cars ranging from street rods to convertibles to pony cars that span the rich and diverse history of American automobiles.
The car show will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. on River Park Drive. Registration is from 9 a.m. until the start of the show, and the entry fee is $20.
Trophies will be awarded at the welcome center at approximately 3 p.m. for Best Ford, Best GM, Best Mopar, Mayor’s Choice, Best of Show and 22 other classes.
Following the show, a car cruise led by Marty Gibson and Julie McCready’s 1995 Chevy Camero will leave at 3:30 p.m., taking the cavalcade of automotive history on a showcase run through the Guttenberg area. Starting in Guttenberg, cars will travel toward Colesburg, with the Pit Stop at the Elkport Pavilion where the Garber Fire Department will serve a meal. The meal is a fundraiser for the department. From there, they will cruise back to Guttenberg.
After the cruise finishes, Walking Molly will provide musical entertainment at the Guttenberg Brewery at 530 S. First St. (sponsored by the Guttenberg Brewery and J&L Marine), from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Additionally, a food truck will be available.
All money raised by The River Park Cruisers Car Show goes back to the local community.
