Sharon Dahman, age 81 of Prairie du Chien passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. 

She was born in Galena, Ill., on Jan. 19, 1944, during a snowstorm, in which a nurse delivered her at home to Marvin and Helen (Rosenthal) Schultz. 

Sharon graduated from St. Mary in Madison in 1963, in pursuit of a career as an ultrasound technologist. She later worked at Prairie du Chien General Hospital for several years. 

Sharon married Larry Dahman on Feb. 6, 1965, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Prairie du Chien, and together, they raised their family in Prairie du Chien. 

Sharon was an active member of St. Gabriel’s and Holy Family Parish in Prairie du Chien. Sharon enjoyed genealogy, quilting, rubber stamping, watching game shows, and playing card games with her grandchildren. 

She loved going to breakfast and playing cards with dear friends. Sharon’s husband Larry preceded her in death on March 5, 2023. 

She is survived by her children Sam (Piemsiri) Dahman, Traci Chase, Laurel (Shawn) Bittner, and Sue (Eric) Olson; siblings Marvin (Joann) Schultz, Debra (David) Walz, and Corrine (Ted) Haas; stepsiblings Patricia Runde, Don Wall and Elizabeth Wubben; grandchildren Zach, Isaiah, Eli, and Ing Dahman, Andrew, Matthew, Adam, and Morgan Chase, Taylor and Jake Bittner, and Benjamin and Katie Olson; great granddaughter Aubree Bittner; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three infant sons Timothy, Mark and Steven; sister Darlene Koehler; brothers Richard and Jim Schultz; and stepfather Francis Wall.  

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.. at St. Gabriel’s Church of the Holy Family Parish, Fr. Thomas Huff officiating with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, gathering followed in the parish hall, all in Prairie du Chien.
