MFL MarMac defeats New Hampton

The MFL MarMac boys golf team won its fifth meet of the season on April 22, edging New Hampton 163-167 at the New Hampton Golf and Country Club.

 

The Bulldogs came out on top despite the Chickasaws having the medalist and runner-up in Adam Ewert and Charlie Kriener, who both shot 39s. Jaxon Lamborn had his best career finish in third place, after putting up a 40, and Quinn McGeough, Ben Krambeer and Jarett Hanson all followed with 41s. Jaron Wille was a close seventh after shooting a 42, while Wesley Corlett scored a 49 for 10th place.

 

Three Upper Iowa Conference meets were on the schedule for MFL MarMac this week, though the first against West Central on April 28 was postponed due to weather. They took on Central April 29, in a make-up from the previous week, then were slated to host Turkey Valley May 1.
