October 12, 1953–February 19, 2025
Rebecca M. “Becky” Johnson, age 71 of Eastman, passed away surrounded by her family on Feb. 19, 2025, at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1953 in Story County, Iowa, to Norman and Norma (Baldus) Clouser.
Becky was united in marriage to Randy Johnson on April 8, 1972. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always putting her family first.
Becky served others selflessly, operating the Little Switzerland Inn and Sadie’s Sweet Shop in McGregor, Iowa, for 20 years.
She is well known for her hospitality and kindness, where you would enter her establishment as a stranger and leave as a friend.
In addition to running her own business, she touched the lives of so many, volunteering with the McGregor–Marquette Chamber of Commerce and Friends Helping Friends as well as working at the nursing home in McGregor, the hospital in Prairie du Chien and the Villa Louis.
She is survived by her husband Randy; daughters Jenny Stollenwerk (Jason Stollenwerk) and Casey Johnson (Carl Ruff); grandchildren Ty Johnson, Hayden Mielke, Audrey Ruff, Cheyenne Ruff, Hattie Ruff, Ryder Stollenwerk, Annelie Stollenwerk, and Hans Stollenwerk; siblings Rod Clouser, Lisa Decena and Steve Clouser; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother David.
A Memorial Service was held on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa, with Rev. Lynn Noel officiating, with inurnment at a later date.
