August 27, 1962–February 14, 2025
Dale C. Sprosty, age 62 of Eastman, passed away Feb. 14, 2025. He was born on Aug. 27, 1962, to Raymond and Evelyn (Picha) Sprosty. After graduating from Prairie du Chien High School, Dale moved to Montana for several years.
Upon returning home to Wisconsin, he worked as a carpenter for a short time before joining his father in working the family farm. Dale also became the third generation to serve as the treasurer for the Eastman township. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping both out west and here in Crawford County.
He is survived by seven sisters: Judy Becwar, Ann (Monte) Russell, Joan (Pat) Hurda, Mary (Don) Walker, Rita (Lucien) Krahn, Theresa (Danny) White and Carol (Tim) Trautsch; four brothers: Daniel (Peggy), Ronald (Elaine), Mark (Linda), and Greg Sprosty; special nephew Terry Sprosty and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Gary Sprosty, sister-in-law Candy Sprosty and brother-in-law Gary Becwar, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Feb. 21, at 11 a.m. at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, with Fr. Chinnappan officiating and burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Garrity Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 4 to 7 p.m., where there will be a rosary at 3:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
