Resource Center offers help with back-to-school supplies
By Caroline Rosacker
Studies show that sending a child to school full equipped and ready to learn with supplies of their own can improve grades, increase creativity, develop positive attitudes toward learning, and improve behavior, peer relationships and self image.
Not having proper supplies can cause teasing, shame, and embarassment, which can lead to a lack of focus in the classroom. Having adequate school supplies is important to help students stay excited and motivated to learn. A single pack of pencils, pens, or crayons and a new binder of notebook paper could be the gateway to a bright promising school year.
