 August 18, 1962–June, 22, 2024

Lawrence Burkhalter, age 82, passed away at his residence on Saturday, June, 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Douds, Iowa, to Marvin and Vera (Gibson) Burkhalter. Lawrence was united in marriage to Ellen Ashmore on Aug. 18, 1962, in Steuben.

He is survived by his son, Aaron (Betty) Burkhalter; grandchildren, Anthony, William, Elizabeth and Rebecca; sister, Celia Brown and brother Marvin Burkhalter.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Burkhalter; daughter Karen Bauer; parents, Marvin and Vera Burkhalter; brother, Anthony Burkhalter; sister, Lorna Burkhalter and companion, Jetta Mezera.

Memorial services will be held privately at a later date.
