February 6, 1945-June 21, 2024

Thomas Neil Yager, age 79, of Prairie du Chien passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse.  

He was born Feb. 6, 1945, in Bloomington Township, the son of Burdette (Bill) and Mary (Brendemuehl) Yager.  He married Barb (Day) Yager on Jan. 9, 1965, and they later divorced.  

Tom worked as an educator and in school administration for 33 years with his last employment being superintendent for the School District of Riverdale in Muscoda.  He retired from service as an educator in 2002. 

He is survived by his children, Bryan and wife (Tracy) Yager of Reedsburg, Craig and wife (Heather) Yager currently of Egg Harbor, and Kelly and husband (Karl) Rohrbach of Milwaukee. 

Also survived by his brothers John and wife (Pat) Yager and Todd and wife (Leslie) Yager both of Prairie du Chien, his former wife Barb Yager, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Mary Yager, a brother Tracy Yager and a sister Mary Kay Roessler. 

A private graveside service is being planned for a future date in the Union Lumpkin Cemetery near Bagley.
