Kevin H. Kremer, 63, of Belvidere, Ill., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 2, 2024, in Darlington, Wis.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The Erickson Funeral Home in Darlington assisted the family.

Kevin was born July 24, 1960, in Geneva, Ill. the son of Alan “Doc” and Marsha (Walther) Kremer. Kevin grew up in Shullsburg, Wis. and graduated from Shullsburg High School, class of ‘78. On Aug. 21, 1982, Kevin was united in marriage to Linda Goebel. Kevin’s work ethic was as strong as his handshake, leading him to a fulfilling career that began at Elco Manufacturing, where he honed his skills as a machinist for 15 years. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he lept into a new role at ITW Shakeproof, kickstarting his impressive trajectory in manufacturing leadership, which he carried with pride and dedication through to his days at Siffron Manufacturing. Kevin was always looking out for the underdog and had a special fondness for the blue-collar worker. His dedication to the job and integrity in the workplace provided a strong foundation of support and trust to all who worked with him.

Kevin’s life was a testament to the things he cherished: family, friends, and a good chuckle. He was the heart of his family, sharing life’s journey with his loving wife Linda, who kept him grounded and laughing all the same. He was a devoted son to his mother, Marsha Kremer of Argyle, Wis., and a beacon of fun and wisdom for his two daughters, Brandi (Jeremy) Lewin of Earlville, and Jenny Kremer of Batavia, Ill. Kevin was a proud of his two granddaughters, Sydney and Lena Lewin, and always knew how to make them laugh.

Kevin’s love for life extended to his two brothers, Clayton (Debbie) Kremer and Chuck Kremer; his sister, Kelly (Marty) Rheaume, and the countless nieces and nephews who often found themselves wrapped up in one of his legendary tales or practical jokes. His special cat, Bob, will miss his warm lap and the sound of his cheerful voice. Kevin was preceded in his journey by his father, Alan “Doc” Kremer, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms and a shared sense of humor.

A man of many interests, Kevin found joy in the simple pleasures. He was a proud member of the NRA, EAA, and PGI, where he connected with others who shared his passions. His love for hunting, camping, and ranger riding was matched only by his love for sitting on the deck with Linda, grilling, smoking meats to perfection, and cooking up a feast for anyone lucky enough to drop by. Music filled his home, as did laughter and the voices of loved ones. He was known to light up the darkest night with his spectacular fireworks shows. The Kremer brothers’ property in Argyle was his sanctuary, a place where he could immerse himself in the great outdoors and make every moment count.
