The Seneca and Wauzeka-Steuben track teams each competed in two meets last with both each attending the Ridge & Valley Conference Mini-Meet at North Crawford on Tuesday and the Sparky Reynolds Invitational at Boscobel on Friday.

On Tuesday, the Wauzeka-Steuben boys placed fourth out of six teams with 44 points while the Seneca boys team was right behind them in fifth with 42 points. On the girls side, it was the Hornets placing fifth with 71 points and the Royals sixth with 29 points.

Earning top three finishes individually for Seneca were - 

Boys 100 Meter Dash - Second - Tucker Stluka (12.06).

Boys 800 Meter Run - Third - Thomas Caya (2:19.65).

Boys 1600 Meter Run - Second - Gabriel Hamann (4:58.51).

Boys 1600 Meter Run - Third - Stluka (42.99).

Earning top three finishes for the Hornets at the meet were - 

Boys 1600 Meter Run - Third - Nolan Reed-Mullikin (5:09.50).

Boys 110 Meter Hurdles - First - Lucius Cooley (15.05).

Boys High Jump - First - Cooley (6-04.00).

Boys Long Jump - First - Cooley (19-11.00).

Girls 400 Meter Dash - First - Ellah Jones (1:07.13), Second - Emma Udelhoven (1:08.77) and Third - Natalie Wright (1:10.14).

Girls 800 Meter Run - Third - Isabella Bunders (2:50.49).

Girls Pole Vault - First - Udelhoven (7-06.00).

Girls Triple Jump - Third - Brynlee Benoy (26-05.00).

Both schools traveled to Boscobel on Friday for the 23-team Sparky Reynolds Invitational. On the boys side, the Hornets placed fifth with 36 points while the Royals were twentieth with 9 points. For the girls meet, the Hornets were twenty-third with 3.50 points while the Royals did not place as a team. 

Placing top three individually for the Hornets were - 

Boys 110 Meter Hurdles - First - Cooley (15.92).

Boys 300 Meter Hurdles - First - Cooley (39.12) - Cooley’s time broke the meet record of 39.37 that was set in 1998.

Boys High Jump - First - Cooley (6-02.00).

Boys Long Jump - Third - Cooley (20-00.50).

Placing top three individually for the Royals was -  Boys 300 Meter Hurdles - Second - Stluka (42.21).

Seneca and Wauzeka-Steuben both competed at the Ridge & Valley Conference Meet last night at Kickapoo and will also be at the D3 Regional Meet next Monday, May 20 at River Ridge High School.
