November 29, 1972–May 7, 2024

Jimmy Dean Eggers, 51 of Monona, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2024. He was born Nov. 29, 1972 to Aileen Tackitt in Lancaster, Wisconsin. He earned his GED and was a Heavy Equipment Operator and acquired his CDL certificate.

In 2005, Jimmy was united in marriage with Teresa Underwood. Two children were born to this union, Ty and Trista. They later divorced. Throughout the years Jimmy worked at Bennett Hardwoods, Pattison Sand and Gravel and since 2018 he worked for Reilly Construction in Ossian, Iowa. Jimmy was a Boy Scout Master of Monona Troop 38. He enjoyed hiking, traveling and being outdoors. Jimmy was a Chicago Bears fan.

Surviving Jimmy are his two children, Ty Eggers of Monona, Iowa and Trista Eggers of Dyersville, Iowa; girlfriend, Samantha Boldt; his siblings, Tina (Arlyn) Loper of Monona, Iowa and Shelly Wiemerslage of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Jimmy in death were his mother and stepfather, Aileen and Richard Hagar.

 A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 26, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pikes Peak State in the stone shelter. Updates can be located on Trista Egger’s facebook page.

Donations may be made to the family.

Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
