The Prairie du Chien Track team continued their busy schedule last week with three meets despite less than ideal weather conditions.

On Monday night, April 15, the Hawks hosted the 71st annual Prairie Relays (after being cancelled due to weather the last two years). The Prairie boys placed fifth with 66 points, the Hawks best showing in both metrics since finishing fourth with 67 points in 2004. On the girls side, the Hawks finished in ninth place out of 13 teams with 36 points.

Earning top three finishes for the Prairie Boys - 

110 Meter Hurdles - First - Blake Thiry (15.49). 

300 Meter Hurdles - First - Thiry (41.09). 

4x200 Meter Relay Second - Hunter Straka, Garrett DeHart, Xander DeHart and Jackson Perkins (1:37.63).

Long Jump - First - Thiry (20-09.25).

Shot Put - First - Max Schneider (48-01.25).

Placing in the top three for the Prairie girls were - 

800 Meter Run - Third - Josie Kramer (2:35.01).

4x100 Meter Relay - Third - Greenlee Krahn, Madi Fisher, Karly Kramer and Taia Dressler (53.04).

4x200 Meter Relay - First - Krahn, Tannah Radloff, Kramer and Fisher (1:51.21).

800 Sprint Medley - Second - Krahn, Dressler, Fisher and Radloff (1:58.44).

The Hawks traveled to Boscobel on April 18 looking to three-peat as the boys and girls team champs of the Bulldog Relays. The Prairie boys tied with River Ridge for first with 89 points and the Prairie girls placed first with 80 points.

3x100 Meter Shuttle Relay - Third - J. Kramer,  T. Dressler and Paisley Dressler (1:03.84).

Long Jump - Third - J. Kramer (15-00.50).

Triple Jump - First - Elle Schneider (30-02.50) and Third - Abigail Perkins (29-00.00).

Prairie du Chien closed out the week on Saturday by traveling to Platteville High School for the Platteville Invitational on a cold spring day.

On the boys side, the Hawks placed sixth out of 10 teams with 63 points, while the PdC girls placed fifth with 71 points.

Following Tuesday’s meet at Platteville, Prairie Track will travel to Cuba City on Thursday, JV to River Ridge on Friday and to the Knights of Columbus Relays at UW- La Crosse on Saturday at 9 a.m.
