April 7, 1927–April 5, 2024

Joyce Marie Tollefson, 96 of Seneca, Wisc., passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at Crossing Rivers Health Systems in Prairie du Chien, Wisc. She was born April 7, 1927, to Clifford and Mame (Ostrander) Withey in Prairie du Chien. Joyce graduated from Seneca High School. 

On June 23, 1945, Joyce was united in marriage with Raymond Tollefson. Four children were born to this union. Throughout the years, Joyce worked at a department store in Milwaukee, Wisc. She enjoyed playing euchre, fishing, growing plants and loved to read.

Surviving Joyce are three of her children, Donald (Fran) Tollefson of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, Marilyn LeDuc of Burlington, Wisconsin and Raymond “Cliff” (Carol) Tollefson of Seneca, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. 

Preceding Joyce in death were her husband, Raymond Tollefson; son, Larry Tollefson; her parents, Clifford and Mame Withey; four brothers and one sister.

A funeral service will be held at noon with a visitation from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien.

Inurnment will follow at Dickson Ridge Cemetery in Lynxville, Wisc.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Seneca First Responders.

Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Prairie du Chien is assisting the family with services.
