Ivanelle Jean Boehm Wilke, 90, of Elkader, passed away peacefully at home on Feb. 15, 2024. She was born on April 5, 1933, in Elk Township, Elkport, the daughter of Emil and Eva (Schultz) Boehm. She received her education at Mount Harmony Country School. She worked at several places in Elkport and Elkader throughout her life. She especially enjoyed being a waitress at the Bridge Cafe when she was young.

 

On Feb. 2, 1960, she was united in marriage to Eldean Wilke at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkader. They were blessed with two daughters: Linette and Lisa. She enjoyed camping, country music, flowers, gardening, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

 

She is survived by her daughters Linette (James) Langhus and Lisa (David) Pope; grandchildren Grant (Amber) Langhus, Lucas (Olivia) Langhus, Melody Pope and Daye Pope; and great grandchildren Ellianna Langhus, Hudson Langhus and Jacob Langhus.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, sister and various in-laws.

 

Private family services and inurnment at East Side Cemetery in Elkader will be held at a later date.

 

Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elkader is assisting the family.
