Warriors 0-3 in conference duals

The Central boys wrestling team participated in the Upper Iowa Conference duals last week, finishing 0-3, with losses to MFL MarMac, Postville and Tripoli.
Against MFL MarMac, the Warriors finished 1-3 in matches, and gave up nine forfeits to lose 72-11. Braxton Bormann, competing at 126 pounds, earned a 20-3 technical fall victory over Rylan Schroeder, while Collin Jaster (132), Jamison Feickert (113) and Jonah Burns (106) all lost via fall.
Central also went 1-3 in matches against Postville and surrendered five forfeits to lose the dual 45-12. Bormann wrestled to a fall over Rudy Chilel, while Isaiah Burns at 157 pounds and Jonah Burns lost by fall. Feickert lost a 7-3 decision.
Against Tripoli, Central was 0-2 in matches and gave up three forfeits, losing the dual 27-18. Feickert lost an 11-9 decision and Isaiah Burns suffered a hard-fought defeat by fall at the five-minute mark.
The Warriors will be back in action Jan. 18, with a meet at Wapsie Valley, followed by the John Byers Invitational at Midland on Jan. 20.
