The Seneca Royals girls basketball team returned to the court last year following the holiday break with road games at River Ridge and Ithaca.
The Royals traveled to Patch Grove on Tuesday, Jan. 2nd to take on the Timberwolves with the hosts earning a 66-21 victory. Nadia Klema led the Royals in scoring with 14 points with Aylah Baker (7 points) rounding out the scoring tally.
Next up for the Seneca girls team was a trip to Ithaca on Thursday, Jan. 4 for a Ridge & Valley Conference contest with the Bulldogs. The hosts expanded on a 36-21 halftime lead to defeat Seneca by a score of 72-45. The leading scorers for the Royals were Kylie Chambers (13 points), Baker (12 points), and Rita Sime (10 points). The loss dropped Seneca to 0-10 overall, and 0-5 in the Ridge & Valley Conference.
The Royals travel to Soldiers Grove on Thursday, Jan. 11 for a conference game with North Crawford with game time scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
