Bonnie Lee Moser, 81, of Des Moines, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2023, while in hospice care at Pine Acres Care Center in West Des Moines.

Bonnie will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held in Guttenberg at a later date.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1942, in Guttenberg, the daughter of Elmer and Alverta (Harbaugh) Knudtson.

Bonnie graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1959. On Oct. 23, 1965, she was united in marriage with Donald A. “Donnie” Moser at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. Bonnie worked in Guttenberg at Utah and Products Unlimited. She later assisted her husband delivering mail for the U.S. Postal Service.

Bonnie was an active member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. She enjoyed embroidery painting and cake decorating as well as regularly reading her favorite comic book Archie. She had a great love of cats and dogs. After the passing of her husband, she moved to Des Moines in 2010 with her daughter, Kristal.

Bonnie is survived by one daughter, Kristal Moser of Des Moines; two sisters, Sandy Kolker of Guttenberg, Diane (Russ) Schoenauer of Johnston and one brother, Dennis (Elaine) Knudtson of Grimes; several in-laws, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Ronnie; sister, Karen, and many close family relatives.
