The Prairie du Chien girls basketball team began winter break by hosting Westby in a non-conference game on Friday, Dec. 22.

The Hawks lead 37-8 at halftime before out scoring the visitors 30-15 in the second half to earn the 67-23 victory.

PdC improved to 6-3 overall with the win, while Westby fell to 4-7 on the season with the loss.

Prairie du Chien is back in action on Friday, Dec. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 30 when they travel to Winona State University to compete in the annual Lewiston Auto Holiday Classic. On Friday, the Hawks will face Chatfield (Minn) at 11:30 a.m., and Winona Cotter at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30.
