The Prairie du Chien/Fennimore High School Gymnastics Team hosted the Third Annual Prairie du Chien/Fennimore Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 15.

This was the gymnasts first meet of the season. The first meet is always the toughest, working out all the nervous jitters and trying to remember brand new routines. With many falls and wobbles throughout the meet, the team finished in sixth place with a score of 118.50.

Individually, Julianne Washa placed eighth on JV Vault with a score of 7.3. On varsity, Senior Madilyn Fisher placed fifth on Vault due to a fall while also  placing fourth on the Floor Exercise, third on Uneven Bars, and fourth in  All-Around.

Junior Kendra Baker added a personal best score of 7.75 on the Floor Exercise while senior Alexandria Crary had a personal best score of 7.1 on the Uneven Bars.

The Hawks are next in action on Saturday, Jan. 6 when they attend the Annual Mount Horeb Invitational.
