June Teresa (Lestina) Looney, 89, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023.

 

June was born on June 10, 1934, in Monona, to Frank and Emma (Havlicek) Lestina. She married James H. Looney in 1957 in Postville.

 

June is survived by her son, Todd (Mary Kay) Looney of Winona, Minn.; her daughter, Lisa (Greg) Storey of Rochester, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Theresa Looney of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

 

June was preceded in death by husband, James H. Looney; son, Timothy J. Looney; grandson, Craig T. Looney; six sisters; and four brothers.

 

A memorial service will be on Saturday, Dec. 30, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, Prairie du Chien, Wis. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., and mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. Monsignor Charles Stoetzel will be officiating. Luncheon will follow the service at St. John’s Catholic Church, Prairie du Chien, Wis.
