The Seneca girls basketball team hosted Cashton in the Royals home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 21, but the visiting Eagles used a strong second half to earn the victory 57-25.

After a close but low scoring first half in which the visitors took a 15-11 lead into halftime, Cashton nearly tripled their first half scoring output with 42 second half points to pull away from the hosts.

Seneca fell to 0-2 with the loss, while Cashton opened their season 1-0 with the win.

The Royals continued their early season home stand by hosting Brookwood on Monday night. Despite going into halftime holding a 26-25 lead over the visiting Falcons, the Royals offense succumbed to the visitors strong second half defense with only 10 second half points as Brookwood  came away with a 46-36 victory. Seneca dropped to 0-3 with the loss while Brookwood stayed undefeated at 3-0.

Seneca will entertain Boscobel on Thursday night before opening up conference play by traveling to Kickapoo on Tuesday, Dec. 5.
