Hornets start new season with two wins

The Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets girls basketball team began their 2023-24 season last week with two wins in two games played.

The Hornets traveled to Hazel Green on Tuesday, Nov. 14 to open their season with a road non-conference game at Southwestern and came away with a 76-38 win over the host Wildcats.

The Hornets had their home opener on Thursday, Nov. 16 when they took on Lancaster in a close contest that ended with the Hornets pulling away from Flying Arrows 41-34 in overtime to move to 2-0 on the young season.

Wauzeka-Steuben girls basketball is back in action on Thursday, Nov. 30 when they begin Ridge & Valley Conference play by hosting North Crawford.
