Music men
Ralph Kluseman and Johnnie Walker, both inducted in the Iowa Rock 'n Roll Music Association Hall of Fame, have been entertaining audiences across the tri-state for decades and are well-known for their Beatles tribute.
"With today's technology Ralph and Johnny are able to make their music sound like six people," said event organizers. "Ralph is the biggest Beatle fan, and recently went to Liverpool to attend the largest Beatle gathering in the World!"
Local Rotary Club lends a hand
The Guttenberg Rotary Club will once again help sponsor the program. "Umbrella Arts does a really good job organizing music events in our community," said a Rotary Club member. "We appreciate their contribution and are happy to help out."
Lakeside kitchen crew returns
For one night only, Jeff and Kari Friedlein and their old Lakeside crew will be doing the cooking beginning at 5 p.m. for guests who want to purchase dinner before the show (not included in the ticket price).
They will be serving a fish and chips entre' together with tentative plans for salmon, shrimp, steak and a sandwich. Lakeside dinner guests who do not plan to attend Beatlemania will be asked to dine in the Lakeside bar area.
Community focus
This will be Umbrella Arts' third consecutive year hosting the Fall Chill event that brings musical art to our community and visitors, honors the heritage of Lakeside Ballroom, and makes a nice dinner an optional additional part of the evening.
"We depend on the partnership of Jeff and Kari Freidlein, Kyle Selberg, and Ron Shorkey from Lakeside, The Guttenberg Press for printing services, many businesses in the community which host our posters, and our dedicated members who sell tickets, decorate, set up and take down the event. Proceeds support our many programs that enhance local art in all its forms," say Umbrella Arts members.
