Seneca and Wauzeka-Steuben runners compete at Kickapoo/La Farge Meet

The Hornets and Royals cross country teams went to Viola on Tuesday, Sept. 26 to compete in the Kickapoo/La Farge Invitational at Kickapoo High School.
On the boys side, Wauzeka-Steuben placed 8th out of 9 teams with 188 points. Leading the way for the Hornets was Brett Wagner in 13th place in a time of 19:17. Also competing at the meet for Wauzeka-Steuben was Nolan Reed-Mullikin in 32nd place (20:58), Parker McCullick in 39th place (21:28), Julius Cooley in 51st place (23:33), Clint Mitchell in 53rd place (23:50), and Andrew Mezera in 56th place (25:20).
Seneca was paced by a 6th place finish by Gabe Hamann in a time of 18:43. Jaren Grimsled in 17th place (19:41), Thomas Caya in 53rd place (22:15), and Seaver Rewey in 71st place (24:33) rounded out the meet for the Royals.
On the girls side, Wauzeka-Steuben finished in 5th place out of 8 teams with 110 points, one point ahead of 6th place Richland Center/Ithaca.
Isabella Bunders finished in 11th place in 23:11 to lead the Hornets.
Also running at the meet for the Hornets were Natalie Wright in 21st place (24:33), Emma Udelhoven in 22nd place (24:40), Emma Wall in 25th place (24:53), Leah Peralta in 31st place (26:01), Ally Wall in 42nd place (27:12), and Ellah Jones in 47th place (28:42).
Following the River Ridge Meet at the Badger Camp on Tuesday evening, both teams are at the Riverdale Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 9:00 a.m.
