Library to present "Friendship Adventures"
By Caroline Rosacker
The Guttenberg Public Library will host "Friendship Adventures" at the Guttenberg Municipal Building auditorium on Tuesday, June 20, at 6 p.m. This interactive show features master performer and educator Toby KID and is free to children of all ages!
The show, which includes singing, magic, dancing and lots of silliness, is part of the library's summer programing, "Take Me to Your Readers." This presentation will encourage children to become friends with a good book. It also encourages children to find the story and their voice in their friendship with others.
Toby KID Klauenberg grew up in a small, rural Iowa town where the library was literally the living room of a city-owned house. He knows the importance of exciting kids about books and about what's in the library.
As a teacher, Toby also understands the complexity of reaching children with diverse learning styles across the youth age spectrum.
Combining those drives with his desire to make everyone happier and you'll understand why Toby is one of the premier assembly performers in the nation.
Toby has 30+ years as a full-time assembly leader, an advanced elementary education degree, and performs 200+ educational shows annually.
"Music, merriment, and memories are created in this blooming collage of wonderment," says a spokesperson. "Toby makes Friends One Smile at a Time!"
Toby puts his award-winning spin into this brand new show designed to help kids make new buddies and giggle uncontrollably. As a recognized Master Clown Toby knows how to tickle the funny bone!
