Three Central boys basketball players have garnered Upper Iowa all-conference honors. Senior Dan McGreal was a first team selection, while senior Elliot Kelly and junior Gabe Erickson were honorable mention picks.

McGreal led the Warriors his final season, and was the team’s only player to start all 22 games. He finished with a team-high 362 points, in addition to leading Central in free throw parentage—at 83.3 percent—and blocks—with 15. McGreal was also second in several categories, including shooting percentage with 44.5 percent and three-point shooting at 37.8 percent. He totaled 90 rebounds, 43 assists and 26 steals.

Kelly capped off his final year by starting 21 games for the Warriors. His 160 points were third most on the team, and he led Central with 128 total rebounds, 74 assists and 31 steals. Kelly also shot a team-high 48.1 percent from the field and 47.6 percent on free throws.

Erickson started 19 games and earned 164 points, which was second most among Central players. He shot 35 percent from the field, 32 percent on three pointers and 72 percent on free throws. Erickson compiled 87 total rebounds—including 22 offensive and 65 defensive—while contributing 24 assists, 18 steals and two blocks.
