Shirley Ann Waterman, 83, of Colesburg, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg.

Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 8, at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood and before services at the church hall.

Funeral services were Monday, Jan. 9, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Colesburg, conducted by Rev. John Haugen.

Interment was at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery, Colesburg.

Shirley was born on May 1, 1939, in Garber, the daughter of Albert and Adeline (Hansel) Webber. Shirley was raised in the Garber area and was a 1957 graduate of Central High School. 

On July 11, 1959, Shirley was united in marriage to Roger Waterman at St. Michael Catholic Church in Garber. Three children were born to this union. After their marriage, the couple moved to Colesburg. Shirley was a homemaker and a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She liked playing golf, cards, and enjoyed feeding the wildlife. Above all else, Shirley loved her family and spending time with them.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Roger Waterman of Colesburg; three children, Michael (Lisa) Waterman of Delhi, Loren (Kathy) Waterman of Center Point, and Lori (Peter) Davidshofer of Farley; four grandchildren, Stephanie Waterman, Stephen (Amanda) Waterman, Phillip Davidshofer, and Peter (Yasmin) Davidshofer, Jr.; four great-grandchildren; granddaughter-in-law, Abby Davidshofer; one brother, Lowell Webber of Marion; and many nieces and nephews. 

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Brandon Davidshofer in 2021; brother and sister-in-law, Francis and JoAnn Webber; and sister-in-law, Carol Webber.
