This is the third year for the Prairie du Chien’s Holiday Lights and Stroll in the Park, organized by Parks and Recreation. According to Mike Ulrich, Prairie du Chien Parks, Recreation & Forestry Director, the program “started during COVID. It was a means to provide Christmas holiday things and doing it safely.”

The event is combines the lights that are placed thought out the St. Feriole Island and Christmas caroling by local choirs. There are four different Christmas caroling groups and a dance team performing this year. ‘We are asking people to come down and listen to the great singing that will be going on” states Ulrich. “We just want people to come and enjoy.”

A new feature this year will be the Jordie Family Christmas llamas. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be in attendance.

The Holiday Lights and Stroll in the park will be taking place on Saturday, December 17, at the Lawler Park Gazebo. The performance schedule is as follows: Bible Baptist Church at 4:30 pm, Gates Family Singers at 5:00 pm, Star Power Dance Team at 5:30 pm, Grace Lutheran Carolers at 6:00 pm, and St. Peter Lutheran Church Choir and Friends at 6:30 pm.
