Patricia A. “Pat” Bergstrom, 82, of Garnavillo and formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2022, at home.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Guttenberg Marina Center.

Graveside services were Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Fairview Cemetery in Cedar Falls

She was born June 24, 1940, in Waterloo, the daughter of Russell and Laurene (Converse) Bergstrom.

Pat graduated from Sloan Wallace High School with the class of 1959. 

She worked in administration for the Iowa State Teacher’s College/University of Northern Iowa for 40 years. 

While in Waterloo, she had attended Hagerman Baptist Church. Pat loved the outdoors which began early in her life. She would often go hunting with her dad. She especially loved to fish and accumulated an abundance of fishing gear over the years. 

Pat is survived by two sisters, Beverly (Larry) Moser and Karen (Gary) Bergen, both of Waterloo; a special friend, Chris Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
