Curtis George Rentschler, 86, of St. Olaf, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022. Curt was born on Aug. 6, 1936, to George and Loretta Rentschler. He was united in marriage to Betty Syverson on Oct. 2, 1955, and they were happily married for 65 years when Betty passed. 

 

Survivors include his children, Rick (Beth) Rentschler of St. Olaf, Cindie (Lonny) Kuehl of Garnavillo, Brenda (Troy) Haberichter of Bagley, Wis., Julie (Steven) Fette of Coggon and Roxanne (Terry) Puelz of Garnavillo; and brothers, Logan Rentschler of Elkader and Bruce Rentschler of Cedar Rapids. Curt and Betty were blessed with six children, 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. 

 

Curt was preceded in death by his wife Betty and son Randy, his parents and brother Merlin. 

 

The memorial service will be a private ceremony with only close family members at a later date.
