Music lineup for GermanFest
The Guttenberg GermanFest committee has a great lineup of musical entertainment for this year's celebration to be held Sept. 23-24, featuring both old and new favorites.
Barefoot Becky and the Ivanhoe Dutchmen will kick off the festival, playing from 6-10 p.m. Friday evening in the main festival tent. The four-piece polka band has been a crowd favorite at previous celebrations.
The Guttenberg German Band is the traditional highlight of the community celebration. Formed in 1991, the band has played locally, nationally and completed two European tours. Don't miss their music on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Carpe Diem, featuring singer-songwriter Bruce Bryant of Guttenberg, will perform at 10:30 a.m. and from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday.
Big Cat Eddie from Cassville, Wis., will appear on the main stage from 3-5 p.m. on Saturday, featuring a variety of popular music.
The Lovehandles with Jim Scheffert and Steve Evers will return to the GermanFest stage from 5-7 p.m.
Shirts & Skins, new to the GermanFest stage, will play from 7-11 p.m. This Midwest band has a diverse song list, featuring all genres of music.
