Candace “Candy” Krapfl

Candace “Candy” Krapfl, 71, of Winthrop, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Aug. 24, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garnavillo, conducted by Rev. Gary Hatcher. Visitation was before services at the church.
Interment will be at Garnavillo Community Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, Garnavillo.
Candy was born on June 29, 1951, in Iowa City, the daughter of William and Laura (Bahls) Glawe Jr.
Candy received her education from the Garnavillo School and on Oct. 20, 1973, she was united in marriage with DeWitt Krapfl and together they were blessed with two children. Candy worked various jobs during her lifetime but making a home for her family was a big part of her life. Candy enjoyed flowers, gardening, deer hunting, stockcar races and demo derbies. She enjoyed anything John Wayne and Elvis Presley. Candy loved watching Western movies in her free time. She collected bells and angels. Her pride and joy always was and always will be her family. She enjoyed watching her kids grow.
Candy will be forever loved and cherished by her husband of over 48 years, DeWitt; two children, Navada Krapfl and Cassandra (Josh) Beyer; one grandchild, Kassidy Krapfl; siblings, Betty Kuehl, Lois Aulwes, Lyle (Darlene) Glawe, Shirley Moser, Norbert Glawe and many nieces; nephews; relatives and friends.
Candy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Loren Glawe; nephew, Scott Moser and mother- and father-in-laws, Clarence and Gladys Krapfl.
