William R. “Bill” Wolfe, 84, of Guttenberg passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022.

Bill was born on Jan. 19, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Ronald and Isabel (Zeik) Wolfe. At a very young age he moved to Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Sharon A. Bungarden on April 11, 1959, at Sacred Heart Church in Waseca, Minn. 

He worked as a Lock Operator for the Army Corps of Engineers for many years and then became Lockmaster until his retirement in 1998. He was also a hard hat diver for the Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, reading and learning about history and caring for the creatures in the backyard. 

Survivors include his wife of sixty-three years, Sharon of Guttenberg; three children, Michael (Peggy) Wolfe of Wellman, Mark Wolfe of Guttenberg and his favorite daughter, Sheila (Dave) Adams of Holy Cross; granddaughter, Ashley (Bill) Adams-Dickens;  and one younger brother, Walter (Deb) Wolfe of Silver Bay, Minn. 

Preceding him in death were his parents.
