Bruce Edward Rodenberg, 60, died Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home in rural Guttenberg.

Visitation was Thursday, July 28, at Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home in Guttenberg. A private family memorial service was held. 

Bruce was born on Nov. 3, 1961, in Guttenberg, the son of Edward Jr. and LaVonne (Schroeder) Rodenberg. Bruce attended Guttenberg High School where he graduated with the class of 1980. Bruce was known for playing basketball with the Guttenberg Pirates, holding school records for many years.

On Sept. 22, 1984, Bruce married Debra Aulwes at St. John’s Congregational Church in Garber and were later blessed with two children, Nicole and Bruce Jr.

He was most proud of being an owner and operator of Rodenberg Trucking. In later years he worked for Oberbroeckling Enterprises and most recently Kregel Trucking. Farming was in his blood, working side by side with his father. His downtime favorite hobbies were riding his Harley, watching westerns, going to tractor pulls and fishing for catfish. He enjoyed the yearly deer hunt and keeping his yard immaculate.

Bruce will be forever loved and cherished by his children, Bruce (Amber) Rodenberg Jr. and Nicole (Daniel) Rodenberg; granddaughter, Deklyn; parents; sister, Carla Ruegnitz; father- and mother-in-law, Harold and Gloria Aulwes, and many more family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; brothers-in-law, Craig Ruegnitz, Mike and Dennis Aulwes; paternal and maternal grandparents.
